Delete your data

GumStory lets you remove personal data without closing your account. Projects, tickets, comments, and history you contributed stay in place for your team, linked to your internal user id, the same way Jira keeps work when profile details are removed.

How to request data deletion

  1. Sign in to GumStory at gumstory.com/login.
  2. Open Settings → Account.
  3. Under Delete personal data, type DELETE and confirm (enter your password if you use one).

Your account stays active. You can sign in again and set a new profile if you choose.

Data that is deleted

  • Profile photo and display names
  • Public username and job details
  • Connected Jira Cloud OAuth tokens
  • Personal preferences and draft-usage counters
  • Password-reset tokens pending for your email

Data that is kept

  • Your account sign-in (email and password, if set)
  • Projects, boards, tickets, test cases, and comments you created
  • Activity and history attributed to your internal user id
  • Shared work other people continue to use

Teammates can still filter and report on work linked to your user id.

Retention

Personal data removed through this flow is deleted from GumStory production systems without a fixed re-collection period. Backups may retain encrypted copies for a limited time under our hosting provider's policy, then roll off automatically.

Close your account instead

To revoke sign-in and remove your email as well, use account deletion or Delete account on the same Settings page.
