Quick create

Create bugs, stories, tasks, and test cases from the project dashboard.

Overview

Quick create is the input box on the project dashboard, above the KPI stats. Type a short description, pick an item type (Task, Bug, Story, Test Case), and click Create. GumStory generates the full ticket and stores it. For Jira-linked projects, bugs, stories, and tasks are pushed to Jira.

Item types

Task, Bug, and Story are Jira issue types. Test Case is stored locally in GumStory. If your Jira has a test case type (e.g. via Xray), you can add support for pushing test cases.

Generation

GumStory uses AI to expand your description into a full ticket. The first line becomes the summary. The rest becomes the description. Format follows Jira conventions: steps, acceptance criteria, or expected results depending on type.
